I DO sometimes.. but there's always ONE thing that scans wrong and you have to have someone ok it for you.
Thank God they don't have those things in the Philippines! I could never get through a session without having to call one of the employees anyway.
Ouch, U-Scan only isles open - never seen that before!
Only if normal isles are busy, I'll use U-Scan! its a novelty that will wear off soon.
- No random small talk with staff is a bonus though. :D

We sometimes scan our purchases ourselves. We do it more at Home Depot than the grocery stores though.
So you don't like them then? ;-)
I prefer them, to the torrent of groceries hurled at you by the cashier, but there IS always one thing that won't scan!
I've never had a problem with them, and the bonus is you don't have to wait for the person who thinks it's a revelation that they're going to have to find their wallet and pay ;-)
I only do it when I have less than 4 things that I am buying. Otherwise I don't wanna do it.
