Marigold

My mom used to plant Marigolds in front of the house where we grew up. The flowers grew like crazy and were often held off the sidewalk by a mini white picket fence. Ours were smaller and more gold than this one I found over the weekend at Apple Annie's, but it still brought me back for a second.

Did you know that the Marigold is an extremely effective herb for the treatment of skin problems?

It can be used wherever there is inflammation of the skin, whether due to infection or physical damage; for example (some of these are gross), crural ulceration, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, anal fissures, mastitis, sebaceous cysts, impetigo or other inflamed cutaneous lesions.

Odd, but interesting.

I wonder if a Marigold would would help treat the swelling induced by a bee sting?

Did I teach you something new today?
