Bye Bye Mazda

Besides sliding on the ice in a rental car (oh yeah, and hitting ice in my dads truck too), this is the first accident that is my fault. There is no way around it. I was driving in a part of town that I don't drive around in very often and I didn't realize I missed the stop sign until half way through the intersection when I saw a car on my left. That car was stopped and I was going at a pretty good speed, and then WHAM a big ass truck from the right hits me. It happened so fast, and there was no way I could have missed that truck.

I was wearing my seat belt, the air bags did not deploy and everyone is okay.

But here I am again with no freaking car. I don't even want another one after this. I like to think I'm a good driver. I mean I've driven across the united states six F*ing times... but apparently I'm not.

Guess I won't be hitting 300 caches anytime soon. Thank-god I am within walking distance of babysitting. Good news is I'll be getting alot of exercise and hitting up a lot less fast food joints. A blessing in disguise?

After colliding with this sucker - I'm lucky to walk away uninjured.

  7. Scary stuff...this happened to my dad earlier this year. He had a semi side-swipe him when he went to turn left off a state route. The semi went to pass him at exactly the same time. The kicker? He JUST bought his truck about two months prior to that happening.
    Anyway, I'm glad you're safe!

  9. The Hkrs are glad that you are safe and happy. Might we suggest a bike off of craigslist for a while? I am sure you can find one pretty cheap and you will enjoy the freedom.

    Just a thought.
