Recycled Coke Bottle Ornament

Walmart had these SUPER cute little Coke bottles for a $1.

Coke!
(Don't look at that picture any harder than you have to. It was a long day of babysitting and I'm trying to grow out my highlights.)

After I drank my coke, I decided to get cRaFtY.

Coke!

While I'm SURE a 1st grader could do better, this little craft was fun and free!! I did this in 5 minutes people. The paint is still wet, give me a break ;-)

I have 3 more bottles in the fridge.... My mind is racing with ideas!! If I can find something to go inside... maybe I'll make a snow globe!

... or maybe I'll just take the bottles babysitting with me Monday so the kids have something to do!

wow that is a great idea! I probably should start doing this since I could not count how many glass ornaments I've broken!

Great idea! I've seen those at the store, too. Such a great way to be festive AND recycle. Have you thought of decoupaging?

I think it would be fun either way - if you experiment with them more yourself, or let the kids enjoy creating something unique. I would love to see what they make though!

What did you do in the end - make some more or let the children have a go?
