Caching Last Year

I was in the mood for a little geocaching last year (yesterday), so I took my mom to work. Actually, I went with her and took her car when I was done caching... but anyway. Since I was already downtown I decided to grab a few urban caches.

We started the day off right - at Krispy Kreme.

No caches here, just tasty treats ;-)

I tried couple virtuals that required a little more than just snapping a picture at a certain location. I don't know if it was becuase it was early, the coordinates were wrong or my brain wasn't functioning - but I couldn't seem to get off on the right foot for either cache. I gave up quickly and moved on. There were plenty of other caches to do.

I ended up enjoying my walk and taking pictures much more than the actual caching today - but I'll save those pictures for another post. The first cache I grabbed was at this little hidden park. While I was walking there, I was worried I'd come across a lot of homeless muggles in the park but there was no one in sight. The park was tiny and actually in a nice part of the city. It was very well maintained and the cache was right where my GPS was pointing!

The next cache was... nothing special. Magnetic and in a fence. I took this picture near the location.

The last cache I got was not on, but near a piece of art. The art was a red sparkly griffin.

It was near the Children's Museum, and there were griffin prints from the building to the art work. Cute!

Three more caches completed and I even got a little tour of the town. :-)
