Unicorns, They DO Exist.

I last geocached January 14th. Over a month ago! I decided yesterday was the day to end that streak. I made my way to Dove Mountain in Marana, Arizona and ended up with 2 finds.

The first one was a little ways off the trail. Just your typical plastic jar cache. I picked up a TB and signed the log. The coolest thing about this cache though.... The unicorn I spotted! The cache wasn't named after this piece of nearby wood, but it should have been!

It was some gnarly wood!

The second cache is somewhere in this picture. It was a pretty easy find and I was glad I didn't have to get dirty for it!

And I'll admit, I had a DNF.... and I walked a mile for it.

I will be back for that mystery cache at some point in time. Maybe when the trail entrance near the hotel opens up. That way I won't have to hike that 1st mile! There are also a few I'd like to grab in the Tortolita Mountains.

What is Geocaching? Answer here.

  6. That is so cool! What a great find! I am surprised that it isn't listed... like a bonus cache or something. Ü
