Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Farm

I was doing some driving between Phoenix and Tucson today and I finally had the time to stop at The Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Farm. I've been past it a million times, but it was either closed or I was on my way somewhere - so I was happy to have the chance to stop this time.

Even though my camera is "being a little bitch," as I like to put it... I managed to grab some pictures... You can feed all the animals... and I did.

Hello deer. Whatcha lookin' at?

After the deer got their fill, I ventured over to the wall....

And then I saw a legs come out...
and I thought a goat was going to jump me, so I ran away!

Oh yeah, there were ostriches too!
I think this guy is sizing me up, he looks hungry...

They are so funny looking!
Yeah so.... Interesting place.

I really just wanted to get postcards anyway ;-)

Have a great day!
Is "ostriches" even a word? or is it just "ostrich." Not that I really care, I'd still use it improperly anyway!

Ostrich also means...
A person who attempts to ignore unpleasant facts or situations.

  1. Holy crap that last picture is scary reminds me of movie Gremlins! Neat place and cool pictures! Have a wonderful Sunday!

  2. Those deer are lovely - bet they all come racing everytime they see someone with a container of treats!! And the goats are cool too - they can be crazy though. My sister had one whene we were kids. The ostriches - hmmmm - not so much on the cute side!!!

We'd be feeding all the animals too. :)

  3. The last one isn't for real...IS IT? Cute lil sad eyes, then MONSTER MOUTH - yuck.

Glad you took the time to stop, so we can see the sites, I probably never will.
