Scrabble

My Mom and I LOVE word games. We often play Literati on Yahoo, which is pretty much scrabble. So when I saw the commercial for Scrabble Flash, I knew I had to get it!

We ended up being a little less than impressed with the game. I think the hardest part was passing the pieces back and forth. 5 separate pieces to pass and turn around was just too much of a hassle. If there were some kind of tray to keep the 5 blocks in it would have been nice. I was kind of thinking a lazy Susan or something would be better to play on because then we could just turn it to the next person.... though the pieces might go flying off.

When you play the multiple player mode you have to unscramble the letters to spell a 5 letter word. However, when you play one person mode, you can spell as many 3, 4 and 5 letter words as you can in the allotted time. We ended up just playing that way and keeping track on paper. Out of 5 games each - the person with the highest percentage of words spelled won.

The game ($22 at Target) also came with Scrabble Slam. We LOVED that game. The cards were a bit confusing at first - and I often put the wrong letter up... but it was fast paced enough for us to keep going.
