@IrisTook Any plate with a rim of some sort will work, I just put a little more than enough to cover the bottom... I guess the amount of milk you need would depend on your plate.
One thing I would recommend though - do it by the sink so you can easily dump it out. I did it out side then had to slooowwly walk it all back inside. I didn't think dumping milk out in the yard would be the best idea ;-)
