A Mile a Day for the Month of May!

Join me in walking an average of at least one mile a day for the month of May!

  • Challenge runs May 1st - May 31st

  • Wherever you can walk! In the neighborhood, on the treadmill, around the mall, out on the trail, across campus or anywhere else you can get those miles in!

  • Sign up on Dailymile.com.
  • Join the challenge: A Mile a Day for the Month of May
  • Log your miles after every walk! I believe there is an iphone app(Android is in the works I think) called "Electric Miles" where you can log your miles on dailymile from your iphone. I personally just use Dailymile.com to log my walks.
  • You don't need a GPS to log your miles either! If you don't know how far you walked, simply map your walk using the map feature on Dailymile and it will give you a mileage read out.
  • To get us all out and moving!

To complete the challenge you must walk an average of 31 miles in 31 days! While it's probably best to walk mile a day, feel free to mix it up, as long as you get 31 miles in ;-D Don't be left doing all 31 miles on the 31st!

  2. Sounds like a great challenge to get folks moving.
    I have been walking 1-2 miles everyday for at least 5-6 years, usually at 6am. Perfect time to do it to clear your mind for the day.

  3. Oh girl, I want to do this SO bad. I'm the worst at keeping up with challenges like this, though. Maybe if I can get a friend involved that will come over and walk with me. I know I need to. I need to do something.. because my natural ability to eat whatever and not work out and still look ok is slowly slipping. Haha.
