I'm a big fan of tote bags and almost always have one with me on the way to work. I've got a lot of crap to hold! Instead of buying another bag, I decided to make my own. Why not? I've been making everything else lately.
I went searching around online and found this simple tutorial. I changed a few things... like cutting on the fold so I wouldn't have a seam on the bottom of the bag, making it a little bit bigger and adding a couple of pockets on the inside. It turned out great!
I used decorator remnants from the fabric store for the outside of the bag. It's a little thicker and works better than regular fabric for a tote bag... better yet, it was only $4/yd. and I can get two out of it!
