After a 40% off coupon at Michaels for the cording and a relatively cheap bag of hex nuts from Lowes, this project came out relatively inexpensive. I did mine different than the tutorial and continued the braid a little further. I ended each end with a spring finding and hooked on a small clasp. Nice idea for a gift!
Well done they look fantastic. We don't have Michaels here in the UK, but when we were in Vancouver in june we found one, I knew there was one there but I hadn't written down the address! so I text my daughter back home who googled and text me back the address a short train ride to the shop and hey presto I was in my first Michaels lol
