Mmm Mmm Good!

Not only did I have Thanksgiving on a Sandwich while I was at my sister's house in Florida.... I tried my first Krispy Kreme Doughnut Burger.

Yeah, you read that right.

KRISPY KREME + HAMBURGER. Calories don't count when you are on vacation ;-)

Apparently they offer these suckers at the Florida State Fair.... But I'd be willing to guess this homemade version (Thanks Brandy!) was way better. I wasn't adventurous enough to put my normal ketchup on my burger, I just ate it plain and it was delicious! I think maybe lettuce and tomato (my other go-to) would be okay though.

Have you ever had a Krispy Kreme Doughnut Burger? Would you ever try it? Is your mouth watering just THINKING about it? Mine is.

  1. nope, never tried it...and nope, my mouth isn't watering! :) to me...that's just as bad as pineapple on pizza! haha!! but glad YOU liked it!!

i've never seen that at the fair...been a few years though...maybe it's a kind of new thing...like fried twinkies...fried ice cream (how do they do that, anyway!)

  2. OH, the corn and 'taters look good!!!

  3. We have a Krispy Kreme Doughnut shop right up the road from my home office. When I drive by in the summer with my windows down you can smell those babies cooking and it fills the air with sweet smells! I think you take in a few calories just sniffing them. I never thought to use them as a burger bun however, I think I'm going to give it a try and I'll let you know how it goes.
    I love food posts! Thanks!

  4. I love KK's! But with a hamburger? No, not so much....

  5. Not a chance.

I've seen them at some places up here and fairs. For the past couple of years or so, I think they've really grown.

There was a place in my area that did it even bigger. Glazed doughnut. Bacon cheeseburger. Mayo. And all the works.

I have no interest in combining the two. And I don't even want to think about the calories/fat etc., whether I'm on vacation or not!

  6. Noo...I love donuts but cannot imagine eating that. Was it actually good?!
