Summer Stitching - Hexagons

I love stitching. I think that is fairly obvious. I like doing the dishtowels you often see here on the blog. They are very portable and I can work on them pretty much anywhere - But I've done so many.

I came across Wild Olive's Summer Stitching Club and decided this project would be perfect to change it up a little bit. Simple, small & new. For $5 (late joiners get it for $8) you get a template, instructions and patterns over 12 weeks.

Progress!

This project is all done by hand, so I can take it with me pretty much anywhere. The finished project will be a small summer themed wall hanging/mini quilt. Can't wait to share the finished project!

  1. OMG - I love this. My grandma used to make quilts exactly like this when I was a kid. And she hand stitched everything, never used a sewing machine in her life. How I wish I still had one of her old quilts but they are long gone. Can't wait to see your finished product.

    1. My grandma used to do them too! My mom has done a wall hanging one. Family tradition ;-)

  3. It's looking good so far. I used to quilt all by hand, I haven't done it in years.
